The Goalie Mask by Mike LeonettiThe Goalie Mask is a picture book that tells the history of Montreal Candiens Goalie Jacques Plante and the first goalie mask. Young goalie Marc learns from his grandfather that goalies did not always wear masks and sometimes got hurt. Plante designed the first mask that allowed him to see while protecting his face. Marc learns from his grandfather and the story of Jacques Plante that being a hockey player takes passion and conviction. This is an excellent book for any young goalie or dedicated hockey player.
